THE FLAMING LIPSとMEWというマジカルなバンドによるマジカルなカップリングのライブを観てきました。MEWを観るのはサマーソニックに初めて来たとき以来。当時と変わらぬ映像による演出には絶対の自信があるのだろう。「Comforting Sounds」は不変の名曲ですね。THE FLAMING LIPSは99年の新宿リキッドルームで初めて観たときは、ウェイン自ら血糊を垂らして千両役者のごとくポケットから紙吹雪を振り撒いてた程度だったのが、10年で取り入れてきた出し物を全部披露する過剰さで、ついには手からビームまで！！！ 2階席で観てたけど、MEWもリップスもほとんど立って観てました。めちゃめちゃワンダーで素晴らしかった！！
